Revelation: The Seals - Call for Submissions

Sacred City Productions  is looking for submissions of fiction for, Revelation: The Seals.
Rev 5:9 "You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation."

In the beginning was the Word and it was revealed to all. Over time the truth was built up and corrupted by those who sought the pleasures of the world and not what came after. Others defended the truth at all costs, even to the point of death.  Cheer the strong, despise the wicked, and come explore some speculative Christian fiction that makes you ask what you believe.

Revelation: The Seals is an anthology dedicated to speculative Christian fiction, or as they say around the 'net "Christian Spec".  But what is speculative Christian fiction?  Any fiction that contains elements not found in our normally mundane world might be considered speculative: monsters, fantasy, science-fiction, horror, the supernatural, the undead, or any other element used to make the world more than it might seem. These stories however also have a Christian worldview.

To support a Christian worldview, Jesus does not need to be front in center in the story.  In fact he might not be mentioned at all. The Chronicles of Narnia are a great example. To a Christian, the hidden Christ story is obvious.  To a non-Christian the story stands alone on its own merits, and the allegory is not required to understand or enjoy the story.  Other stories may be even more subtle.  On the surface they may even appear to be heretical, but upon closer inspection you find that the truth is still there and the story is forcing you to ask difficult questions about your own faith and beliefs.  Our promise as editors is to ensure that the story doesn't cross the line and that the truth of our Lord remains intact.

The current plan for Revelation: The Seals is to publish seven issues with a theme based on each of the seven seals of from the book of Revelation.  The actual definition of the theme is open to interpretation by the submitting authors and editors.

  1. The Book of Revelation is a cursed book. When writing about it, be careful to follow its mandate and do not add to or subtract from it--and certainly do not speculate!

  2. Great write-up! Writing is a talent, and it must not be wasted. As with everything that we had been entrusted, we should
